The fruit for the 2022 Brut Rosé is sourced from the organic Home Block Vineyard, centered in the heart of Carneros, in the Sonoma Coast AVA. Influenced by cooler daytime temperatures and gentle breezes, Home Block is one of the closest vineyards to the San Pablo Bay - the major water inlet near San Francisco that leads to the Pacific Ocean.
Planted in the early 2000s, the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at Home Block reside primarily on Haire clay loam, creating a wine with beautiful depth and lifted aromatics. Chilly nights, long hang times, and wonderful structure create the perfect base for our Sonoma Coast sparkling rosé.
Our 2022 Sonoma Coast Brut Rosé is a unique sparkling wine made from 51% Pinot Noir and 49% Chardonnay. A delicious aperitif or brunch bubbly, and a great match for smoked salmon, oysters, or fresh cheeses. Fine bubbles intertwine flavors of juicy peach, red apple and strawberries and cream. The nose is delicate and floral, with notes of cherry blossom, rose petal, and orange zest. The wine is rich on the palate with mouthwatering freshness and vivaciously creamy bubbles.
